Cultivating Resilience — Harvesting Success
We exist because while many supports are available, they are often fragmented, uncoordinated, or underutilized. Families are left trying to navigate complex education, transition, and community systems on their own, and young people move forward without a clear, connected path.
Turning “Now What?” into a Pathway
At Wild Dandelions, we are passionate about providing educational support and guidance to young adults of all abilities. Our team is committed to helping our clients achieve academic success, develop essential skills, and build confidence for their future endeavors.
Wild Dandelions Services
helps families turn uncertainty into clarity

WHAT
WE DO
Wild Dandelions is designed to serve as a liaison
helping our clients navigate
the complexities of services offered during their academic years.
We help with their transition into the work force and build a focused plan to meet their specific skills,
which is critical for future success moving forward into adulthood opportunities.
WHO
WE SERVE
Wild Dandelions supports
young people from ages 12-26
of all abilities - and their families
by aligning existing supports
and services to work together, creating clear, coordinated pathways toward independence and meaningful lifelong contribution to self, community, and the workforce.
WHY
US
Wild Dandelions serves as
an active liaison and connector, working alongside families, schools, agencies,
and community partners
to ensure that plans lead
to real progress —
not just eligibility or paperwork.
Our role as your liaison
is not to be a referral agency, leaving each part working in a silo, but rather help align the pieces so you're not left navigating the gaps.
Our Beginning...

DALEL {Dee} MEDINA
Founder and Executive Director
of Wild Dandelions was formed from my personal experience raising our three adopted
African American children with profound learning disabilities in Polk County, Florida.
Driven by a desire to empower my children, I embarked on a journey to discover effective strategies for fostering independent learning.
Since 2001 my family and I have navigated the challenges through ineffective educational institution remediation strategies for our children with severe learning disabilities and systemic barriers firsthand.
This is why I sought to demonstrate that their intellectual capacity far exceeded their reading and writing abilities, with appropriate support skills and effective tools to lead independent lives, pursue fulfilling careers, and become valuable contributors to in our society.
These experiences have led to the creation of Wild Dandelions Services. Where my team and I have the privilege of working alongside families with young adults of all abilities to ensure that their support works together
— turning uncertainty into clear pathways toward independence, contribution, and belonging.
Life is never what we expected, but it can become far more than we imagined if we are willing to step into it.
